Playing With The Sisters

On Saturday my sisters and I went out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.

Olivia was READY to check out the MENU!
Kourt and Kristen
Kelli and I
Kourtney and her FANCY mango smoothie... it looked amazing
food shouldn't be this pretty :)
Olivia did not STOP eating the ENTIRE time.
Kelli tells us she got her ears pierced! Now I'm not the only one!
Olivia drinking water through a straw.. She couldn't figure out how to suck the water up so this was the next best thing :)
Once again, why is food so pretty? This was the best cheesecake I have EVER had.
After lunch we went shopping for a few hours. Olivia was not exactly a trooper. But it was a fun afternoon!

Cabin Trip

This past weekend we took our first family trip of the summer to our cabin in Forest Lakes. I was a loner and thank goodness Olivia was there to be my best friend. Honestly... i don't know if anything makes me happier that this girl. We took QUITE the photo shoot of Olivia's first time in the forest... Here are a few of my favorites.
it was pretty sunny at first... hints the awesome squinter below

playing in the clovers
being FASCINATED by a blade of grass... Found a friend just her size
very confused why she is being placed in so many different places
First pinecone!Best Friend

I officially want one of these :)

Bath Time

Welp, someone once told me that if you are unhappy it means you are ungrateful. So I am going to always try and remember all the wonderful things that I have been blessed with in my life...and hopefully it will help get me through the hard times. Olivia is probably the #1 thing that makes me happy these days. Anytime I see her I automatically forget about my worries.
She is getting so playful and so talkative and it's such a blast to
play with her.
This was bath time the other night...

she was a little obsessed with the seashells...

this hand motion plus a very loud grunt
is her new way of letting us know she needs something!

I'm A Slacker

Ok... i completely forgot I even HAVE a blog, that's how long it has been since I have updated. And unfortunately my life isn't exciting enough to post everyday/every week/hardly even every month!!! But my sister did "tag" me... don't really like that word... but anyway guess I will amuse her.

1- 5 places I go to over and over: FOPT (my job), MCC, my room, val vista and baseline (good food), and Chad's house.

2- 5 people who email me regularly: I get more emails from American Eagle than I do from anyone else... sad I know. But some others are Tina, Chad, .... nope that's it!

3- 5 favorite places to eat (along with my recommendations): I can only pick 5??? well here are 5 of about my top 20 favorites... Julios Too (Chicken tacos), Outback (chicken fingers with ranch), Paradise Bakery (BBQ Chicken Salad or club sandwich), Vitos (pizza... duh!), Casa Cisneros! (chicken and beef flautas with guac and salsa)

4- 5 places I would rather be: Chad's house, Disneyland, At a concert, On a beach somewhere, or in the audience at So You Think You Can Dance!

5- 5 T.V. shows {slash DVD's} I watch all the time: One Tree Hill (A-maz-ing), Rob and Big (life couldn't get much better), So you think you can dance (the fun has just begun), 24 (when it's actually on!) and the movie I think I have seen the most times and NEVER get sick of it is She's the Man.

Well since Tina, Chaney, and Katrina are the only people that ever look at my blog... I tag you all.

Sister Saturday!

Yesterday was Sister Saturday! Not really, I just like to call it that cuz we all hung out all day while all the guys were at priesthood session. Here are some pictures of what went on...

My little sister Kourtney made Taylor Jr. High cheer this past weekend and she is sooooo excited.

These are the BEAUTIFUL flowers I got her.. they are my favorite.

Kristen went rollerblading and let us babysit Olivia. Not going to lie, I am sorta OBSESSED with her. Her little eyes are to die for. Here are some pictures of us.

I would say 90% of the time she has SOMETHING in her mouth

I think she got a LITTLE tired of a camera in her face all afternoon. This is my new favorite picture. Olivia's first ATTITUDE picture :) Ok back to sweet Olivia. I want to keep her.

Kelli then came over and we all went and got PEDICURES at the mall. Kourt and I got the same thing, Kristen got pink polka dot tips and kelli got some kind of hawaiian flower! The peeps that did our toes were VERY annoyed with us and even tried to kick us out! "YOU GO? YOU GO?" was all we heard and they were pointing to the door. haha it was fun.
Kourt, Kelli, Me, and Kristen
We think we are pretty cool

Ok soooo remember how I am OBSESSED with Olivia? Well this is why.

ENJOY!

Who likes FAST FOOD?

Ok, so before my exercise science teacher showed me this presentation, I LOVED FAST FOOD! I am pretty sure I ate out atleast 3 or 4 or sometimes even 5 times a week! HUH... well even tho the following is somewhat depressing... IT'S A HUGE EYE OPENER! This was put out on YAHOO as the 20 worst foods in America. Mind you, the #1 worst food is probably one of mine and Chad's FAVORITE foods. So sad :( ENJOY!
P.S. Keep in mind that the AVERAGE ADULT is only supposed to consume 2200mg of sodium
A DAY!!

20. Worst Fast-Food Chicken Meal
Chicken Selects Premium Breast Strips from McDonald's (5 pieces) with creamy ranch sauce
830 calories 55g fat (4. 5g trans fat) 48 g carbs
The only thing "premium" about these strips is the caloric price you pay. Add a large fries and regular soda and this seemingly innocuous chicken meal tops out at 1,710 calories.
19. Worst Drink
Jamba Juice Chocolate Moo'd Power Smoothie (30 fl oz)
900 calories10 g fat 183 g carbs (166 g sugar)
Jamba Juice calls it a smoothie; we call it a milk shake. In fact, this beverage contains more sugar than two pints of Ben and Jerry's Butter Pecan ice cream.
18. Worst Supermarket Meal Pepperidge Farm Roasted Chicken Pot Pie (whole pie)
1,020 calories 64 g fat 86 g carbs
The label may say this pie serves two, but who ever divided a small pot pie in half? Once you crack the crust, there will be no stopping.

17. Worst "Healthy" Burger

Ruby Tuesday Bella Turkey Burger

1,145 calories 71 g fat 56 g carbs

We chose this burger for more than its calorie payload: Its name implies that it's healthy.

16. Worst Mexican Entree Chipotle Mexican Grilled Chicken Burrito
1,179 calories 7 g fat 125 g carbs 2,656 mg sodium
Despite a reputation for using healthy, fresh ingredients, Chipotle's menu is limited to king-size burritos, overstuffed tacos, and gigantic salads—all of which lead to a humongous waistline.

15. Worst Kids' Meal

Macaroni Grill Double Macaroni 'n' Cheese

1,210 calories 62 g fat 3,450 mg sodium

It's like feeding your kid 1 1/2 boxes of Kraft mac 'n' cheese.

14. Worst Sandwich Quizno's Classic Italian (large)
1,490 calories 85 g fat 4,510 mg sodium 96 g carbs
A large homemade sandwich would more likely provide about 500 calories.

13. Worst Salad

On the Border Grande Taco Salad with Taco Beef

1,450 calories 102 g fat 78 g carbs 2,410 mg sodium

This isn't an anomaly: Five different On the Border salads on the menu contain more than 1,100 calories each.

12. Worst Burger Carl's Jr. Double Six Dollar Burger
1,520 calories 111 g fat
Carl's brags about this, but also provides convenient nutrition info on its Web site—so ignorance is no excuse for eating it.

11. Worst Steak

Lonestar 20 oz T-bone

1,540 calories 124 g fat

Add a baked potato and Lonestar's Signature Lettuce Wedge, and this is a 2,700-calorie blowout.

10. Worst Breakfast Bob Evans Caramel Banana Pecan Cream Stacked and Stuffed Hotcakes

1,540 calories 77 g fat (9 g trans fat) 198 g carbs(109 g sugar)

Five Egg McMuffins yield the same caloric cost as these sugar-stuffed flapjacks.

9. Worst Dessert Chili's Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream
1,600 calories 78 g fat 215 g carbs
Would you eat a Big Mac for dessert? How about three? That's the calorie equivalent of this decadent dish. Clearly, Chili's customers get their money's worth.

8. Worst Chinese Entree

P.F. Chang's Pork Lo Mein

1,820 calories 127 g fat 95 g carbs

The fat content in this dish alone provides more than 1,100 calories. And you'd have to eat almost five servings of pasta to match the number of carbohydrates it contains. Now, do you really need five servings of pasta?

7. Worst Chicken Entree Chili's Honey Chipotle Crispers with Chipotle Sauce

2,040 calories 99 g fat 240 g carbs

"Crispers" refers to an extra-thick layer of bread crumbs that soaks up oil and adds unnecessary calories and carbs to these glorified chicken strips.

6. Worst Fish Entree On the Border Dos XX Fish Tacos with Rice and Beans
2,100 calories 130 g fat 169 g carbs 4,750 mg sodium
Perhaps the most misleadingly named dish in America: A dozen crunchy tacos from Taco Bell will saddle you with fewer calories.

5. Worst Pizza Uno Chicago Grill Chicago Classic Deep Dish Pizza

2,310 calories 162 g fat 123 g carbs 4,470 mg sodium

Downing this "personal" pizza is equivalent to eating 18 slices of Domino's Crunchy Thin Crust cheese pizza.

4. Worst Pasta Macaroni Grill Spaghetti and Meatballs with Meat Sauce

2,430 calories 128 g fat 207 g carbs 5,290 mg sodium

This meal satisfies your calorie requirements for an entire day.

3. Worst Nachos On the Border Stacked Border Nachos
2,740 calories 166 g fat 191 g carbs 5,280 mg sodium

2. Worst Starter Chili's Awesome Blossom

2,710 calories 203 g fat 194 g carbs 6,360 mg sodium

1. The Worst Food in America Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries with Ranch Dressing
2,900 calories 182 g fat 240 g carbs
Even if you split these "starters" with three friends, you'll have downed a dinner's worth of calories before your entrée arrives.
So there you have it... This is why i gained weight after high school :)
Next time you are hungry REMEMBER that restaurants want to make you FAT! ha ha
No really, just be aware of what you eat!
That's All!

A New Year...

Just wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone! I am so excited 2007 is gone and a new year is started. I love a fresh start. I have way to many new year resolutions to count... But what i have realized lately is the best way to enjoy life is to take it one day at time. Slow down, stop worrying, and just be thankful for every moment you spend with the people you love and care about... Happy New Year everyone.
